Full job description

Job Summary

We are seeking a friendly and motivated Subway Sandwich Artist to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for preparing fresh sandwiches and salads, providing excellent customer service, and maintaining a clean and organised work environment. The ideal candidate will have a passion for food, enjoy working in a fast-paced setting, and possess strong time management skills. This position offers an opportunity to develop culinary skills and gain valuable experience in the hospitality industry.

Responsibilities

Prepare customised sandwiches, salads, and other menu items according to company standards
Serve customers efficiently while delivering exceptional service
Maintain high standards of food safety and hygiene at all times
Upsell additional items to enhance customer experience and maximise sales
Ensure the work area is clean, organised, and well-stocked throughout shifts
Handle cash register operations accurately and efficiently
Follow all health and safety regulations diligently
Assist in opening and closing duties as required

Experience

Previous experience in food preparation or restaurant service is preferred but not essential; training will be provided
Knowledge of food safety standards and procedures is advantageous
Experience with serving customers in a fast-paced environment is desirable
Basic maths skills for handling transactions and portion control are necessary
Kitchen or culinary experience can be beneficial for understanding food handling practices
Strong time management skills to ensure timely service during busy periods
Ability to work well within a team and communicate effectively with colleagues and customers

Pay: £8.00-£12.71 per hour
