Job Summary
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Part-time Chef to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in food preparation and cooking, with the ability to create delicious and visually appealing dishes. This role offers an excellent opportunity for individuals with kitchen experience and a flair for culinary arts to contribute to a vibrant dining environment. The successful applicant will be responsible for preparing meals, maintaining food safety standards, and supporting the overall operation of the kitchen during scheduled shifts.

Duties

Prepare a variety of dishes according to recipes and quality standards
Assist in meal preparation and presentation to ensure customer satisfaction
Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen area in compliance with food safety regulations
Support the team during busy service periods, including serving customers when required
Ensure all ingredients are stored correctly and stock levels are monitored
Follow health and safety guidelines diligently to prevent accidents or contamination
Assist with inventory checks and assist in ordering supplies as needed
Contribute to creating a welcoming atmosphere for guests through excellent service

Skills

Proven experience in food preparation and cooking within a professional kitchen environment
Strong knowledge of food safety standards and hygiene practices
Ability to work efficiently under pressure during busy service times
Excellent organisational skills with attention to detail in meal presentation
Good communication skills and ability to work well within a team
Previous restaurant or catering experience is highly desirable
Serving experience is an advantage, ensuring excellent customer interaction
Flexibility to adapt to different tasks and work hours as required
