Full job description

Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated Laundry Operative to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the efficient and high-quality cleaning and maintenance of linen and laundry items within a busy hospitality environment. This role offers an excellent opportunity for individuals with a keen eye for detail and a commitment to maintaining high standards of cleanliness and hygiene. Previous laundry experience is desirable but not essential, as full training will be provided.

The position is suitable for those seeking consistent employment in a professional setting of small laundry room , hotel linen for holiday accommodations .

Responsibilities

Sort, and process laundry items according to established procedures
Operate laundry machinery such as washers, dryers, commercial dryer iron and folding equipment safely and efficiently
Ensure all linen and laundry are cleaned, stain free, pressed, and stored correctly
Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the laundry area at all times and general cleaning of kitchen and bathroom areas
Adhere to health and safety regulations, including proper handling of chemicals and equipment
Daily checks to be completed
Assist with stock control by monitoring supplies and notifying management when replenishments are needed .. for example Chemical level checks, safety checks and stock levels
Support other housekeeping or operational tasks as required to ensure smooth service delivery
Packing linen take outs and bundles ready for distribution to properties and housekeeping
Previous experience in a laundry or hospitality environment is preferred but not mandatory
Familiarity with laundry processes and equipment is an advantage
Ability to work efficiently both independently and as part of a team
Strong organisational skills with attention to detail
Good physical stamina to handle repetitive tasks and lift linen or laundry items as needed

Pay: £13.20 per hour

Expected hours: No less than 16.0 per week
