Overview

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Paint Sprayer to join our manufacturing team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for applying coatings to various surfaces with precision and efficiency, ensuring high-quality finishes. This role offers an excellent opportunity for individuals with a background in fabrication, construction painting, or warehouse operations to utilise their technical skills in a dynamic environment. The position is paid and suitable for those eager to develop their expertise within the painting and coating industry.

Responsibilities

Prepare surfaces by cleaning, sanding, or masking to ensure optimal paint adhesion
Operate spray guns and other power tools to apply paint, varnish, or specialised coatings accurately
Mix paints and coatings according to manufacturer specifications using basic math skills
Inspect finished work for quality, consistency, and adherence to safety standards
Maintain and clean equipment regularly to ensure optimal performance
Follow safety protocols and wear appropriate personal protective equipment at all times
Assist with fabrication or assembly tasks as needed within the workshop or warehouse environment
Collaborate with team members to meet production deadlines efficiently

Requirements

Proven experience with hand tools, power tools, and welding is advantageous
Mechanical knowledge relevant to equipment maintenance and troubleshooting
Familiarity with fabrication processes and construction painting techniques
Basic mathematical skills for mixing paints and measuring materials accurately
Previous warehouse experience or work within a manufacturing setting is desirable
Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety standards
