Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled and reliable Mechanic to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining, repairing, and troubleshooting a variety of equipment to ensure optimal operational performance. This role offers an excellent opportunity for individuals with a strong mechanical background who are eager to contribute to a dynamic and safety-conscious environment. The position involves working with hand tools, power tools, and specialised schematics to deliver high-quality maintenance and repair services.

Responsibilities

Conduct routine inspections and preventative maintenance on machinery and equipment
Diagnose faults using schematics and mechanical knowledge
Repair or replace faulty components, including performing welding when necessary
Assemble new equipment or parts according to technical specifications
Utilise hand tools and power tools efficiently and safely during maintenance tasks
Perform heavy lifting as required to move or install equipment or parts
Maintain accurate records of repairs, maintenance activities, and parts utilised
Ensure all work complies with health and safety regulations
Provide excellent customer service by addressing client concerns professionally and promptly

Skills

Strong understanding of schematics and technical diagrams
Extensive mechanical knowledge across various machinery types
Proficiency in using hand tools, power tools, and welding equipment
Experience in assembly, disassembly, and equipment repair processes
Knowledge of maintenance procedures and best practices for industrial machinery
Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and effectively
Excellent problem-solving skills with a keen eye for detail
Good communication skills to liaise with team members and clients effectively
