Full job description

Job Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented and organised Accounts Administrator to join our finance team. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing various accounting functions, ensuring accurate financial records, and supporting the organisation’s financial operations. This role offers an excellent opportunity for individuals with a strong background in accounting software and data entry to contribute to a dynamic and professional environment

Key Responsibilities

Processing supplier and customer invoices accurately and efficiently using SimPro
Ensuring all financial transactions are correctly posted and reconciled between SimPro an Xero
Carrying out regular bank reconciliations in Xero
Managing credit control, including monitoring outstanding balances and chasing overdue payments
Reconciling supplier statements and preparing payment runs
Managing the accounts inbox and responding to queries in a timely and professional manner
Handling account-related telephone enquiries
Liaising with internal teams to resolve discrepancies, missing information, and job cost queries

Qualifications

Proven experience working with accounting software such as Xero and Sage
Experience with SimPro desirable
Strong data entry skills with high accuracy and attention to detail
Knowledge of accounts payable procedures and financial services industry standards
Excellent analysis skills to interpret financial data effectively
Good telephone etiquette and communication skills for engaging with clients and colleagues
Prior experience in telemarketing or customer outreach is advantageous
Familiarity with analysis tools and reporting functions within accounting platforms is desirable
Organised, proactive, and able to prioritise multiple tasks efficientlyThis role is ideal for motivated individuals seeking a challenging position within a professional environment that values accuracy, organisation, and strong analytical capabilities.

Pay: £29,000.00-£35,000.00 per year
