Job Overview

We are seeking a talented and passionate Chef to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will possess strong culinary skills, leadership qualities, and experience in food preparation and kitchen management. This role offers an exciting opportunity to showcase creativity in menu development while maintaining high standards of food safety and service excellence. The Chef will be responsible for overseeing daily kitchen operations, supervising staff, and ensuring that all dishes meet our quality standards. Previous experience in hospitality or restaurant environments is essential, along with a commitment to delivering exceptional dining experiences.

Responsibilities

Lead and supervise kitchen staff to ensure efficient operation and high-quality food production.
Prepare, cook, and present a variety of dishes according to established recipes and standards.
Manage food safety protocols, including hygiene practices and proper storage procedures.
Oversee the organisation of the kitchen, including stock control, ordering supplies, and maintaining cleanliness.
Develop new menu items in collaboration with management, considering seasonal ingredients and customer preferences.
Train and mentor junior team members to enhance their culinary skills and knowledge.
Ensure all food served meets presentation standards and customer expectations.
Collaborate with front-of-house staff to coordinate service times and optimise customer satisfaction.

Experience

Proven experience in food production within a professional kitchen environment.
Supervising experience or team management skills are highly desirable.
Extensive knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices in hygiene standards.
Strong background in cooking techniques, food preparation, and hospitality service.
Previous restaurant experience demonstrating the ability to work efficiently under pressure.
Leadership qualities with the ability to motivate and manage a diverse team effectively.
Familiarity with serving procedures and customer service principles is advantageous.
