Overview
We are seeking a skilled and passionate Cook/Chef to join our dynamic culinary team. The ideal candidate will bring a strong background in food preparation, cooking, and kitchen management, with a focus on delivering exceptional dining experiences. This role offers an exciting opportunity to showcase culinary expertise while leading and supervising kitchen operations in a fast-paced hospitality environment. Candidates with previous restaurant experience and a commitment to food safety are highly encouraged to apply.

Responsibilities

Prepare and cook a variety of dishes according to established recipes and standards
Supervise kitchen staff, ensuring efficient workflow and high-quality food production
Manage food safety procedures, including hygiene standards and proper storage of ingredients
Oversee food presentation to ensure visual appeal and consistency
Coordinate with front-of-house staff to meet service requirements and customer expectations
Assist in menu planning, ingredient ordering, and inventory management
Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen area at all times
Train junior staff members in food preparation techniques and safety protocols
Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations across all kitchen activities

Experience

Proven experience in a professional kitchen environment, ideally within a restaurant or hospitality setting
Supervising experience is preferred, demonstrating leadership skills in managing teams
Strong background in food production, culinary techniques, and food presentation
Knowledge of food safety standards and regulations (e.g., HACCP)
Experience in managing kitchen operations, including stock control and menu development
Excellent organisational skills with the ability to work efficiently under pressure
Previous serving experience is advantageous but not essential; however, familiarity with customer service standards is beneficial
