Full job description

Overview
We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Bar Manager to oversee the daily operations of our vibrant social club bar. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in bar management, hospitality and team leadership. This role offers an exciting opportunity to lead a small dedicated team and ensure exceptional customer experiences. The successful applicant will demonstrate excellent organisational skills, a passion for hospitality, and a proven track record in managing bar operations within a fast-paced environment. Experience of working within a social club is an advantage but not essential.

Responsibilities

Manage all aspects of bar operations, including supervising staff, ensuring efficient service, and maintaining high standards of cleanliness and safety.
Lead the team in delivering exceptional customer service, fostering a welcoming atmosphere for members and customers .
Ensure compliance with responsible alcohol service policies.
Organise staff rotas, oversee training programmes, and supervise team members to optimise performance.
Monitor stock levels, place orders for beverages and supplies, and manage inventory control efficiently.
Handle member and customer enquiries or complaints professionally, aiming for swift resolution and guest satisfaction.
Maintain a safe working environment by adhering to health and safety protocols at all times.
Promote the use of club facilities through all available channels and oversee the running of all functions and events.

Experience

Proven supervising experience within a restaurant, hotel, or hospitality setting is essential.
Previous experience in managing bars or similar venues with responsibilities including serving drinks and hospitality management.
Demonstrable leadership skills with the ability to manage teams effectively in high-pressure environments.
Knowledge of social club or committee run club operations will be considered an asset. This position offers an engaging environment for passionate hospitality professionals eager to lead a team while delivering the highest possible service to our members.

Pay: £32,000.00-£35,000.00 per year
