Overview

We are seeking a MIG Welder to join our manufacturing team. The ideal candidate will have experience in welding and fabrication, with a strong focus on quality and safety. This role offers an excellent opportunity to develop your skills within a dynamic environment, working on diverse projects involving sheet metal and mechanical assembly. Applicants should be detail-oriented, reliable, and capable of working independently or as part of a team. All positions are paid, including internships, and we welcome candidates eager to advance their careers in welding and fabrication.

Duties

Perform MIG welding on various materials, primarily sheet metal components, ensuring precision and adherence to specifications
Utilise TIG welding techniques as needed for specialised tasks
Operate hand tools, power tools, and fabrication equipment safely and efficiently
Assist with the assembly of fabricated parts, ensuring proper fit and finish
Use basic maths skills to measure and mark materials accurately before welding or assembly
Conduct inspections of welds and finished products to maintain quality standards
Maintain a clean and organised work area to promote safety and efficiency
Follow all health and safety regulations, including the use of personal protective equipment (PPE) at all times

Experience

Proven experience in MIG welding within a manufacturing or fabrication environment
Knowledge of TIG welding processes is advantageous but not essential; training can be provided for suitable candidates
Familiarity with hand tools, power tools, and basic fabrication techniques
Mechanical knowledge relevant to assembly processes and material handling
Ability to work with sheet metal and utilise fabrication equipment effectively
Basic mathematical skills for measurements and calculations related to welding projects
Experience working with various assembly components is desirable but not mandatory; training will be provided where necessary
