Full job description

Opportunity to join a small team working in a catering trailer in Deganwy on a permanent basis.
We are looking for a chef/server to join our small team working in an onsite catering trailer, working 4/5 days a week Monday to Friday, day time hours. We serve breakfasts on a Monday and Friday and lunch Tuesday to Thursday.

Duties

Prepare and serve breakfast meals to a good standard and in a timely manner
Prepare food for lunch service based on menu / prep list, this is varied from cooking proteins, salad prep, tray bakes, cooking rice, etc.
Serve lunch meals to a good standard and in a timely manner
Prepare and serve light snacks like toast and yoghurt pots
Ensure that all kitchen equipment is maintained and operated safely.
Washing up, brushing and mopping the floor, maintaining a high standard of cleaning throughout.
Emptying and taking the bins out.
Maintain strict adherence to food safety regulations and hygiene standards.
Monitor inventory levels and assist with ordering supplies as needed.
Ensure that all kitchen equipment is maintained and operated safely.

The Ideal Candidate

Drives and has own transport
Previous Catering / Chef / Cook experience
Strong knowledge of food safety practices and regulations
Good communicator
Fully flexible Monday - Friday
Food hygiene certificate level 2 or above

Our opening hours are:

Mondays - 10:00 - 12:30

Tues - Thurs - 10:00 - 14:30

Fridays - 10:00 - 12:30

Shifts will begin and end approx 15 mins before and after these times. Work rota is done on a monthly basis, this position will be for 4 or 5 days a week at 16 - 21.5 hours.

This position is only Monday to Friday and always day time hours, no weekends or evenings!

Please be aware, we are situated outside, so it does get cold in the winter.
