Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Restaurant Assistant Manager to join our dynamic team. The successful candidate will play a vital role in ensuring smooth daily operations, maintaining high standards of service, and supporting the management team. This role offers an excellent opportunity for individuals with a passion for hospitality, food preparation, and team leadership to advance their careers within the restaurant industry. The position is paid and requires a proactive approach to supervising staff and delivering exceptional customer experiences.

Responsibilities

Assist in overseeing daily restaurant operations, ensuring efficiency and high standards of service.
Supervise and motivate team members, including servers, kitchen staff, and baristas, fostering a positive working environment.
Support food preparation and cooking processes to maintain quality standards.
Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and proper food handling procedures.
Manage reservations, organise seating arrangements, and optimise table turnover.
Handle customer enquiries and resolve complaints promptly to ensure guest satisfaction.
Assist with training new staff members in service protocols, safety procedures, and culinary standards.
Monitor stock levels, place orders for supplies, and ensure cleanliness of the premises.
Collaborate with the management team on marketing initiatives and special events.

Experience

Proven supervising experience within a restaurant or hospitality environment.
Strong background in food preparation, cooking, and food production techniques.
Experience in managing teams, with excellent leadership and organisational skills.
Knowledge of food safety standards and best practices in hospitality settings.
Previous restaurant experience is essential; hotel or barista experience is advantageous.
Familiarity with serving duties and delivering exceptional customer service.
Demonstrated ability to work under pressure while maintaining attention to detail.
