Overview
We are seeking a friendly and professional Bartender to join our vibrant hospitality team. The ideal candidate will be passionate about delivering exceptional guest experiences, possess a strong knowledge of beverage service, and thrive in a fast-paced environment. This role offers an opportunity to showcase your hospitality skills while creating a welcoming atmosphere for our patrons. Previous restaurant or bar experience is preferred, along with a solid understanding of food safety and guest service standards. The successful applicant will be responsible for preparing and serving drinks, engaging with guests, and ensuring the bar area remains clean and organised throughout their shift.

Responsibilities

Prepare and serve a variety of alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages in accordance with standard recipes and customer preferences
Engage with guests in a friendly, professional manner to enhance their overall experience
Take orders accurately, process payments efficiently, and upsell menu items to maximise sales opportunities
Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the bar area, including glassware, utensils, and work surfaces
Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and responsible alcohol service policies
Monitor guest intoxication levels and intervene appropriately to promote safety
Restock bar supplies as needed during shifts to ensure smooth operation
Collaborate with kitchen staff to coordinate food and beverage service when required
Handle guest complaints or concerns professionally, aiming for prompt resolution

Qualifications

Previous experience in hospitality, restaurant service, or bar tending is highly desirable
Knowledge of food safety standards and food preparation techniques
Strong guest service skills with the ability to engage confidently with diverse clientele
Basic maths skills for handling cash transactions accurately
Experience in food preparation or culinary roles is advantageous
Excellent time management skills to handle busy periods efficiently
Ability to upsell menu items effectively to enhance guest satisfaction and sales performance
Kitchen or culinary experience can be beneficial but is not essential
A friendly attitude, professionalism, and a team-oriented approach are essential for success in this role
