Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced and passionate Head Chef to lead our culinary team. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, extensive culinary expertise, and a keen eye for food safety and presentation. As Head Chef, you will oversee all aspects of kitchen operations, ensuring the delivery of high-quality dishes that meet our standards and delight our guests. This role offers an exciting opportunity to manage a dynamic team within a vibrant hospitality environment, fostering creativity and excellence in every plate served.

Responsibilities

Lead and supervise the kitchen team, including chefs and kitchen assistants, to ensure smooth daily operations
Develop innovative menus that reflect current culinary trends while maintaining consistency and quality
Oversee food preparation, cooking, and presentation to uphold high standards of taste and visual appeal
Manage food production processes, including ordering supplies, inventory control, and waste minimisation
Enforce strict adherence to food safety regulations and hygiene standards across the kitchen
Train and mentor staff to enhance their skills, promote teamwork, and maintain a motivated workforce
Collaborate with front-of-house staff to ensure seamless service delivery and guest satisfaction
Monitor kitchen performance metrics and implement improvements as necessary
Maintain organised kitchen workflows to optimise efficiency during busy service periods

Experience

Proven supervisory experience within a professional kitchen environment, ideally in a restaurant or hospitality setting
Extensive culinary experience with a strong background in food preparation, cooking techniques, and presentation skills
Demonstrable leadership abilities with experience managing a diverse team of kitchen staff
Knowledge of food safety standards and best practices in hygiene management
Experience in menu development and food production planning
Familiarity with restaurant operations, including serving processes and customer service principles
Previous experience working in a fast-paced environment with excellent organisational skills
