Job Overview

We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Coffee Shop Manager to lead our vibrant team and ensure the smooth operation of our establishment. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, a passion for hospitality, and a comprehensive understanding of food and beverage service. This role offers an exciting opportunity to oversee daily operations, maintain high standards of quality, and foster a welcoming environment for customers. The Coffee Shop Manager will be responsible for managing staff, ensuring food safety compliance, and delivering exceptional customer service to promote customer loyalty and business growth.

Responsibilities

Oversee daily coffee shop operations, ensuring efficiency and high standards of service
Supervise and motivate team members, including baristas and kitchen staff, fostering a positive work environment
Manage staff scheduling, training programmes, and performance evaluations
Maintain food safety standards in accordance with health regulations and company policies
Oversee food preparation, cooking, and presentation to ensure quality consistency
Ensure cleanliness and organisation of the premises, including kitchen areas and customer spaces
Handle customer enquiries, complaints, and feedback professionally to enhance customer satisfaction
Monitor stock levels and place orders for supplies as needed to ensure uninterrupted service
Implement health & safety procedures across all areas of the shop
Assist in developing promotional activities to attract new customers and retain existing ones

Experience

Proven supervising experience within a hospitality or restaurant environment
Strong team management skills with the ability to lead by example
Extensive background in food preparation, cooking, or culinary roles; restaurant or hotel experience is highly desirable
Knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices in food production
Barista experience is advantageous but not essential; training can be provided for specific skills
Experience in serving customers in a fast-paced setting with excellent hospitality skills
Demonstrated leadership qualities with the ability to motivate a diverse team
Familiarity with kitchen operations, food safety standards, and overall restaurant management
