Job Introduction

Workshop Service Advisor

Salary - £30,024- £33,699 (Grade 5)

Hours - 37 hours

Contract Type - Full time, permanent

Work Style - Fixed: permanent council location

This post is subject to a satisfactory Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check and required a full valid UK driving licence.

Are you organised, customer-focused and able to keep a busy workshop running smoothly?

We are looking for a Workshop Service Advisor to be the key link between our workshop, fleet users and suppliers. You will coordinate vehicle bookings, manage service and repair schedules, raise job requests, update records and provide excellent customer service to internal clients.

Working within a fast-paced fleet operation, you will help ensure vehicles and plant are maintained, inspected and returned to service efficiently, supporting the delivery of essential Council services across the city.

About You

You will have:

An accredited nationally recognised qualification in the repair and maintenance of vehicles to NVQ or IMI Level 2 or be able to demonstrate significant relevant industry experience as a Vehicle Service Advisor.
Experience in an administrative, customer service, fleet or workshop environment.
Excellent organisational and communication skills.
Strong IT and data management skills.
The ability to prioritise workloads and work accurately under pressure.
A proactive approach and commitment to delivering excellent customer service.
