Full job description

We are currently seeking an experienced and motivated Quantity Surveyor to join our clients growing team. This is an excellent opportunity to work on a range of exciting construction projects within a fast-paced and professional environment.

The successful candidate will play a key role in managing project costs, ensuring value for money, and supporting the commercial success of projects from pre-construction through to final account.

Key Responsibilities

Preparing cost estimates, budgets, and tender documentation
Managing subcontractor procurement and valuations
Monitoring project costs and identifying commercial risks
Preparing interim valuations, variations, and final accounts
Liaising with clients, subcontractors, suppliers, and site teams
Supporting project delivery to ensure works are completed within budget
Reviewing contracts and ensuring compliance with commercial procedures
Producing accurate financial reports and forecasts
Assisting with negotiation and dispute resolution when required

Requirements

Previous experience as a Quantity Surveyor within the construction industry
Strong knowledge of construction contracts and commercial management
Excellent numerical, analytical, and negotiation skills
Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines effectively
Good communication and interpersonal skills
Proficient in Microsoft Office and relevant estimating/commercial software
Degree qualified in Quantity Surveying or related discipline preferred
Full UK driving licence preferred
