Baker – Join our award-winning team at Silver Apples Bakery | Stockport | Start Mid-September 2026

Sociable hours, Monday to Friday.

Do you love baking? Are you proud of producing beautiful products that people genuinely get excited to eat?

We're looking for an enthusiastic, hardworking baker to join our growing team at Silver Apples Bakery.

We're not your average bakery. Since 2009 we've been supplying some of the UK's best independent cafés, restaurants, museums, universities and hospitality businesses with handmade cakes, traybakes, cookies and sweet treats. As we continue to grow across the UK, we're looking for someone who wants to grow with us.

If you enjoy working in a fast-paced environment, thrive as part of a close-knit team and genuinely care about quality, we'd love to hear from you.

What you'll be doing

Every day is different, but you'll be involved in:

Producing our award-winning cakes, bakes and sweet treats for wholesale customers across the UK.
Maintaining exceptional standards of quality and presentation.
Following cleaning, food safety and hygiene procedures.
Packing, labelling and preparing customer orders.
Contributing ideas for new products and seasonal specials.
Occasionally helping with deliveries, customer service or sample preparation.
Supporting HACCP, SALSA and allergen procedures.

We're looking for someone who...

Has bakery experience (professional or strong practical experience).
Takes real pride in their work.
Has excellent attention to detail.
Enjoys working efficiently under pressure.
Loves great food and keeps up with baking trends.
Is reliable, positive and enjoys working as part of a supportive team.
Isn't afraid of physical work and getting stuck in wherever needed.
Wants to learn, develop and build a long-term career with us.

Most importantly, we're looking for someone with a fantastic attitude. Skills can be taught—but enthusiasm, work ethic and pride in your work are priceless.
