With 30 guest rooms, a welcoming bar and restaurant, function spaces, and beautiful gardens, the hotel is a beloved destination for travellers, locals, and event-goers alike. As we enter an exciting new phase of development and refurbishment, we’re looking for a talented Hotel General Manager to lead the next chapter of our story.

Role Summary

We’re seeking a passionate and experienced Hotel General Manager to oversee daily operations, ensure exceptional guest experiences, inspire anad lead dedicated team. Your leadership will help shape the guest journey—from a warm welcome to memorable stays and events—while driving operational excellence and profitability.

This is a hands-on role for someone who thrives in a people-focused environment, understands the unique character of destination hotels, and is ready to build on our strong foundation. this is not a work life balance position and will require total dedication, a live and breath the hotel.

Key Responsibilities

Lead and manage all hotel operations with a focus on quality, consistency, and guest satisfaction.
Inspire, mentor, and manage a diverse team across front-of-house, housekeeping, kitchen, bar, and admin.
Oversee recruitment, onboarding, training, and performance management.
Ensure high standards of cleanliness, safety, and compliance across all areas.
Drive commercial performance, working with budgets, forecasts, and KPIs.
Collaborate with the marketing team to support promotions, events, and seasonal campaigns.
Build strong relationships with guests, local partners, and the wider community.

Ideal Candidate

Proven experience as a General Manager, Operations Manager, or equivalent in a hotel or hospitality setting.
A natural leader who brings positivity, resilience, and a team-first attitude.
Excellent communicator with strong interpersonal skills.
Commercially savvy with the ability to balance guest satisfaction and business performance.
Comfortable using technology to manage bookings, operations, and reporting.
Familiarity with licensing, food safety, and health and safety regulations.
A genuine passion for hospitality and creating memorable guest experiences.
