Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and organised Nursery Administrator to oversee the daily operations of our childcare facility. The ideal candidate will possess strong administrative skills, a passion for early childhood education, and experience in teaching or working with young children. This role offers an opportunity to contribute to a nurturing environment where children can thrive, while ensuring the smooth running of nursery services. The successful applicant will be responsible for managing administrative tasks, supporting staff, and maintaining excellent communication with parents and guardians.

Responsibilities

Manage daily administrative operations, including enrolment, attendance records, and scheduling appointments
Maintain accurate records of children's progress and health information
Liaise effectively with parents, providing updates and addressing enquiries professionally
Oversee compliance with health and safety regulations within the nursery
Assist in organising staff rotas and training sessions
Ensure the nursery environment is welcoming, safe, and well-maintained
Support the implementation of educational programmes in collaboration with teaching staff
Handle correspondence, invoicing, and other administrative documentation

Experience

Prior experience in an administrative role within a childcare or educational setting is desirable
Strong organisational skills with the ability to multitask efficiently
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
Proficiency in relevant computer software programmes such as MS Office or specialised childcare management systems
A caring attitude with a genuine interest in supporting children's learning and wellbeing
