Job Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Sous Chef to join our dynamic culinary team. The successful candidate will assist in managing kitchen operations, oversee food preparation, and ensure the delivery of exceptional dining experiences. This role offers an excellent opportunity for a passionate culinary professional to develop leadership skills within a vibrant hospitality environment. The Sous Chef will be responsible for supervising kitchen staff, maintaining food safety standards, and supporting the Head Chef in menu planning and execution.

Responsibilities

Assist in supervising daily kitchen operations, ensuring smooth workflow and high standards of food quality.
Oversee food production processes, ensuring consistency and presentation meet brand standards.
Manage and motivate kitchen staff, fostering a collaborative and efficient team environment.
Prepare and cook a variety of dishes in accordance with recipes and quality standards.
Support the development of new menu items and contribute to menu planning alongside senior management.
Maintain strict adherence to food safety regulations and hygiene standards at all times.
Monitor inventory levels, assist with stock ordering, and minimise waste.
Ensure all kitchen equipment is maintained properly and report any issues promptly.
Serve as a role model for professionalism, hospitality, and culinary excellence within the team.

Qualifications

Proven supervising experience within a busy kitchen environment.
Extensive experience in food production, cooking, and food preparation.
Strong team management skills with the ability to lead by example.
Solid background in kitchen experience, including culinary techniques and food safety protocols.
Experience working in restaurants or similar hospitality settings is highly desirable.
Excellent organisational skills with an eye for detail in food presentation and service standards.
Knowledge of current food trends and innovative culinary practices.
Ability to work under pressure during busy service periods while maintaining high standards of quality.
A recognised culinary qualification or relevant hospitality certification is preferred but not essential. This role provides an exciting opportunity for a dedicated culinary professional eager to advance their career within a supportive and inspiring environment.

Pay: £13.00-£15.00 per hour
