Full job description

Job Overview
We are seeking an experienced and enthusiastic Bar and Waiting Staff member to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in hospitality, with a passion for delivering exceptional guest service. This role involves providing attentive service at the bar and in the dining area, ensuring guests enjoy a memorable experience. Candidates should be organised, efficient, and able to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

Take orders from guests accurately and efficiently, providing friendly and professional service
Serve food and beverages promptly, ensuring presentation standards are maintained
Prepare and serve drinks at the bar, including cocktails, wines, and spirits, adhering to safety standards
Assist with food preparation tasks as needed, maintaining cleanliness and organisation in the kitchen area
Upsell menu items to maximise sales opportunities while maintaining excellent customer service
Ensure guest satisfaction by addressing any concerns or special requests promptly
Maintain cleanliness of the dining area, bar, and service stations throughout shifts
Follow food safety regulations and health & safety procedures at all times
Manage multiple tables or bar orders simultaneously while maintaining attention to detail

Requirements

Proven experience in hospitality or restaurant service, with a strong background in serving and bar work
Knowledge of food safety standards and basic food preparation techniques
Excellent time management skills to handle busy periods efficiently
Strong guest service skills with a friendly and professional demeanour
Ability to upsell menu items effectively to enhance guest experience and sales
Basic maths skills for handling bills and cash transactions accurately
Previous kitchen or culinary experience is advantageous but not essential
A good understanding of food safety regulations and responsible alcohol service principles
Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, or peak hours as required
