We have an exciting opportunity for a Pub Operator / General Manager to run a well established town centre venue. The transient nature of hospitality means Amber Taverns are always on the look out for outstanding talent.

We’re looking for an experienced individual or couple to be the driving force behind its continued growth and success in the local area. The venues requiring an injection of fresh ideas are high-volume, city-centre venue’s offering:

A well maintained trade area with authentic features
Multiple screens showing live sport throughout the week
Regular DJ nights, music events and entertainment
A strong reputation for great-value drinks and busy weekend trade

This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who wants to be their own boss, be visible daily to customers and take ownership of a busy venue, and play a key role in shaping its future. We are particularly looking for an operator who can elevate standards, refine the offer, and create a consistently welcoming and vibrant atmosphere, building on the pub’s strong foundations and re-establishing it as a go-to destination. Amber Taverns Ltd offers an operator agreement that gives you the benefits of running your own pub business, alongside the support and backing of a successful company. You’ll receive regular guidance from a Business development Manager and support from a dedicated head office team. You will operate a well-invested, drinks-led pub, with leading brands, competitive pricing, and a full Sky & TNT Sports package. You’ll also benefit from ongoing training and development to help you and your team succeed. All we ask in return is your energy, commitment, and drive to deliver a great customer experience and build a successful business.

Main Responsibilities

Be the face of the business and Integrate yourself into the local community
Show a consistent appetite for great business & customer service standards, setting yourself apart from competitors

Recruit, train and manage your team, creating a positive working culture
Maintain compliance with stock control, cash handling, licensing and H&S regulations
Build a loyal customer base and grow the pub’s reputation
