Full job description

Job Overview

We are seeking an experienced and passionate Curry Chef to join our vibrant culinary team. The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing authentic and high-quality curry dishes, supervising kitchen operations, and ensuring exceptional standards of food safety and presentation. This role offers an exciting opportunity for a culinary professional with leadership qualities to contribute to a dynamic hospitality environment. The Curry Chef will play a vital role in maintaining the restaurant’s reputation for delicious cuisine and excellent service.

Duties

Most have knowledge to Make a Dish (Momo)
Prepare a variety of traditional and innovative curry dishes in accordance with recipes and quality standards
Oversee daily kitchen operations, ensuring smooth workflow and adherence to food safety regulations
Supervise kitchen staff, providing guidance, training, and support to maintain high standards of food production and presentation
Manage food preparation processes, including ingredient sourcing, portion control, and waste minimisation
Lead the team during service hours, ensuring timely delivery of orders and excellent customer experience
Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen environment in compliance with health and safety regulations
Monitor stock levels, place orders as needed, and manage inventory efficiently
Collaborate with front-of-house staff to ensure seamless service delivery and customer satisfaction
Uphold standards of hospitality by assisting with serving customers when required

Qualifications

Proven experience in food production, specialising in curry or Asian cuisine preferred
Strong background in cooking, food preparation, and kitchen management within a busy restaurant or hospitality setting
Supervising experience with team management skills to motivate and lead kitchen staff effectively
Knowledge of food safety standards and best practices in a professional kitchen environment
Excellent organisational skills with the ability to multitask under pressure
Leadership qualities combined with a passion for culinary excellence
Previous restaurant experience is highly desirable
Good communication skills to coordinate with team members and front-of-house staff effectively

Pay: £30,000.00-£35,000.00 per year
