AI Research Studio Coordinator

Location: Bermondsey, London
Pay: £30,000/£35,000 PA
Hours: [Full-time / part-time]
Workplace: On-site

About Aloe Studios

Aloe Studios operates specialist studios that support artificial intelligence research and data collection.

We run structured sessions involving participants from a wide range of backgrounds and help ensure that high-quality research data is collected, reviewed and organised accurately.

We are looking for a bright, friendly and dependable Studio Coordinator to support the day-to-day running of our London studio.

The Role

This is a varied, hands-on role combining participant support, data annotation, administration and general studio operations.

You will help brief participants, oversee sessions, review and tag collected data, complete administrative work and ensure the studio remains organised and ready for use.

The role requires strong attention to detail, good judgement and the ability to respond quickly when plans or priorities change.

This is not a purely administrative or front-desk position. You will regularly move between participant-facing, analytical and practical tasks throughout the day.

Key Responsibilities

Welcome participants and guide them through the studio process
Explain tasks and instructions clearly and confidently
Brief participants before sessions and answer questions
Help set up, oversee and close research sessions
Review, tag and annotate collected data
Check work for accuracy, consistency and completeness
Maintain clear records and complete general administrative tasks
Identify and report technical, participant or operational issues
Solve straightforward day-to-day problems independently
Support the team when schedules, workloads or priorities change
Help maintain an organised, professional and comfortable studio
Refill water, clear workspaces, vacuum when required and take out bins
Assist with other reasonable studio tasks as needed

Who This Role Suits

This role would suit a bright, practical and personable individual who enjoys varied work and takes responsibility for making things run properly.

You may be a recent graduate or have experience in tutoring, research, operations, events, creative production, agency work or another fast-moving, people-facing environment.

We are less concerned with a particular degree or career background than with whether you are switched on, dependable and able to exercise good judgement.

You should be:

Friendly and confident speaking with a wide range of people
Clear and articulate when explaining unfamiliar tasks
Fluent in spoken and written English
Highly attentive and able to concentrate for extended periods
A quick thinker who remains calm when issues arise
Comfortable solving day-to-day problems independently
Able to follow detailed instructions accurately
Comfortable making judgement calls when reviewing and tagging data
Organised, reliable and punctual
Willing to take ownership of tasks
Happy switching between analytical, participant-facing and practical work
Relaxed and personable while remaining professional
Able to work well in a close-knit team
Adaptable when priorities, processes or workloads change at short notice
Comfortable using computers and learning new internal tools

Working Environment

Aloe Studios supports fast-moving AI research projects, so the exact nature and volume of work can change quickly.

Coordinators may be trained on new tasks, moved between different areas of studio operations or asked to help the team increase activity at short notice.

The role provides practical exposure to how AI research data is collected, reviewed and managed within a specialist studio environment.

Experience

Previous experience in research, data annotation, tutoring, operations, events, administration, creative production or other people-facing work may be useful, but it is not essential.

Full training will be provided.
