Full job description

Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and professional Medical Receptionist to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will be the first point of contact for patients and visitors, providing exceptional customer service while managing administrative tasks in a fast-paced medical environment. This role is crucial in ensuring the smooth operation of our practice and enhancing patient experiences.

Responsibilities

Greet patients and visitors warmly, ensuring a welcoming atmosphere.
Manage patient check-in and check-out processes efficiently.
Schedule appointments and maintain the appointment diary.
Answer phone calls promptly, addressing inquiries or directing calls to appropriate staff.
Maintain accurate patient records and ensure confidentiality in accordance with data protection regulations.
Process patient forms and insurance information accurately.
Assist with billing inquiries and coordinate with insurance companies as needed.
Perform general office duties such as filing, scanning, data entry, and managing correspondence.
Collaborate with medical staff to ensure seamless communication and patient care.

Experience

Previous experience in an office or administrative role is preferred, particularly within a healthcare setting.
Strong organisational skills with attention to detail to manage multiple tasks effectively.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills to interact professionally with patients and colleagues.
Proficiency in using office software applications (e.g., Microsoft Office Suite) and medical management systems is advantageous.
Ability to handle sensitive information with discretion and maintain confidentiality at all times.
