Job Overview
(SUNDAYS) We are seeking a talented and experienced Cook/Chef to join our team on a SUNDAY. The ideal candidate will possess strong culinary skills, leadership qualities, and a passion for delivering exceptional food experiences. This role involves preparing high-quality dishes, supervising kitchen operations, and ensuring food safety standards are maintained. The successful applicant will play a vital role in creating a welcoming environment for guests and supporting the overall success of our hospitality establishment.

Responsibilities

Prepare and cook a variety of dishes according to established recipes and standards
Supervise kitchen staff, ensuring efficient workflow and high-quality food production
Manage food preparation processes, including portion control and presentation
Oversee food safety practices, maintaining cleanliness and hygiene standards in line with regulations
Lead team management efforts, including training new staff and fostering a positive working environment
Coordinate with front-of-house staff to ensure timely serving of meals
Monitor inventory levels and assist with stock ordering to minimise waste and optimise resources
Ensure all dishes meet quality standards before serving to guests
Maintain organisation within the kitchen to promote safety and efficiency

Skills

Proven experience in food production, cooking, and kitchen operations
Supervising experience within a culinary or hospitality setting
Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage a team effectively
Excellent food preparation and presentation skills
Knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices
Previous restaurant or hospitality experience is highly desirable
Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment
Good communication skills to coordinate with team members and front-of-house staff
Passion for culinary arts with an eye for detail and quality assurance
