Job Overview

We are seeking a passionate and skilled Cook/Chef to join our culinary team. The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing and cooking a variety of dishes, ensuring high standards of food quality and safety. This role offers an exciting opportunity to showcase your culinary talents in a dynamic environment, contributing to the satisfaction of our customers through exceptional meal preparation and presentation.

Duties

Prepare, cook, and present a diverse range of dishes according to established recipes and standards
Ensure all food is prepared in accordance with food safety and hygiene regulations
Assist in menu planning and develop new recipes to enhance our offerings
Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen area, including equipment and utensils
Monitor stock levels and assist with inventory management to ensure ingredients are fresh and available
Collaborate with team members to deliver efficient service during busy periods
Adhere to health and safety policies at all times, including proper handling and storage of food products
Serve meals promptly and professionally, ensuring customer satisfaction is achieved

Skills

Proven experience in food preparation and cooking within a professional kitchen or restaurant environment
Strong knowledge of food safety standards and hygiene practices
Excellent culinary skills with the ability to prepare a variety of dishes confidently
Experience with meal preparation for large groups or in a high-volume setting is desirable
Good organisational skills with the ability to work efficiently under pressure
Ability to work as part of a team, demonstrating flexibility and a positive attitude
Previous restaurant experience or serving experience is advantageous but not essential; willingness to learn is key
