Full job description

Overview
We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Restaurant Manager to oversee daily operations at our busy establishment. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, extensive restaurant experience, and a passion for delivering exceptional hospitality. This role involves supervising staff, ensuring food safety standards, and maintaining high levels of customer satisfaction. The successful applicant will be responsible for managing the team, coordinating food preparation and service, and upholding the restaurant’s reputation for quality and excellence.

Duties

Manage the smooth day-to-day restaurant operations and ensure excellent customer service.
Supervise front-of-house staff and ensure efficient coordination between kitchen and service teams during busy periods.
Handle customer enquiries, complaints, and special requests in a professional and friendly manner.
Work closely with chefs to ensure food quality, presentation, portion control, and timely service meet company standards.
Maintain cleanliness, food hygiene, health & safety, and licensing standards throughout the restaurant.
Check stock levels of food, beverages and restaurant supplies and place orders with suppliers.
Monitor daily sales, cash handling and end-of-day reporting procedures.

Qualifications

Proven supervising experience within a restaurant or hospitality setting
Strong background in food preparation, cooking, and culinary techniques
Extensive restaurant experience with a good understanding of food safety standards
Demonstrated leadership skills with the ability to manage teams effectively
Excellent organisational skills with the ability to multitask under pressure
