Full job description

Quality Controller - Located in South Rd, Ellesmere Port CH65 4LD

As a key member of the Quality team, the Quality Controller will support the implementation of quality standards across all stages of the production process.

Main Responsibilities and Duties include:

Perform routine quality assurance inspections and checks across the site, ensuring compliance with company and customer specifications.
Accurately complete all relevant QA documentation and logs. Highlight and report any non-conformities in a timely manner, supporting root cause analysis and corrective actions.
Assist the Quality Manager in maintaining, reviewing, and updating the site’s Quality Management System and related documentation.
Conduct quality inspections on all incoming packaging to ensure they meet required standards prior to use in production.
Carry out sampling and quality assessment of finished goods to verify conformance to specification before release.
Perform final quality checks on completed loads prior to dispatch, ensuring product integrity and accurate labelling.
Actively liaise with production managers, supervisors, and line operators to address quality concerns and maintain a high standard of production output.
Oversee line setup processes and ensure adherence to documented procedures, work instructions, and hygiene standards.

Criteria:

Minimum of 5 GCSE’s A-C including Math and English or equivalent.
Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Microsoft Excel, with the ability to accurately input and analyse data.
Possess strong attention to detail, with an ability to work accurately and quickly.
Excellent communication & organisational skills.
Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively within a production team and contribute to a culture of continuous improvement.
Willingness to work in an industrial environment.

Hours of Work: 6:00am-2:00pm Monday to Friday, and 2:00pm-10:00pm Monday to Friday on a 2-week rotation.

Pattern may change seasonally to match production output.
