Full job description

Accounts Assistant - Temporary 6 month contract. Opportunity for permanent role.

£14,000 per annum

20 hours per week, Mon-Fri, 9am-1pm (Alternative start/finish times considered)

Aeroco Group is a leading commercial Aircraft Component Repair Station based in Stockport. A fantastic opportunity has arisen for an Accounts Assistant to join our Finance Team on a temporary 6 month contract.

As an Accounts Assistant, you'll be working in the finance team handling core transactional finance activities, such as; Sales Ledger, Purchase Ledger, Bank Reconciliation and Credit Control.

Your main tasks and responsibilities will be:

Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of financial transactions.
Process invoices, payments, and receipts.
Reconcile bank statements and accounts.
Assist with payroll processing and employee expense claims.
Provide administrative support to the finance team.
Respond to queries from clients and suppliers regarding financial matters.
Ensure compliance with company policies and accounting standards.

Requirements of the role:

Proven experience as an Accounts Assistant or similar role.
Proficiency in accounting software.
Strong knowledge of MS Office, particularly Excel.
Excellent organisational and time-management skills.
Attention to detail and accuracy.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Collaborative style, willing to support colleagues throughout the business.
Ability to build effective relationships with suppliers and clients.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Knowledge of MS Dynamics and Xero would be advantageous but not essential
Role would suit someone working towards AAT qualification, or equivalent experience in a similar role.
