We are looking for…

Brabyns Nursery is looking for a highly organised, proactive and professional Admissions & Office Administrator to join our warm and welcoming team.

This is an exciting opportunity for someone who enjoys working in a busy, child-centred environment and takes pride in delivering exceptional administration and outstanding customer service. You will play a key role in supporting the smooth running of the nursery, being the first point of contact for many of our families and helping to create a positive and professional first impression of Brabyns Nursery.

We are looking for someone who is confident, friendly and highly efficient, with the ability to manage a varied workload that combines admissions coordination, office administration, and support for marketing and nursery communications.

Brabyns Nursery is a well-established, nurturing early years setting in Marple, providing high-quality care and education for children aged 9 months to 4 years.

We are passionate about creating a safe, stimulating and happy environment where children can explore, discover and grow through play-based learning and rich early years experiences. Every child is supported as an individual, with learning tailored to their unique needs, interests and strengths.

Our dedicated team works closely with families to ensure every child has the very best start in life. With inspiring indoor and outdoor learning environments and a strong sense of community, Brabyns Nursery is a place where children feel secure, confident and excited to learn.

As our Admissions & Office Administrator, you will be at the heart of the nursery’s day-to-day operations. You will:

Be the first point of contact for prospective and current families, providing a warm, professional and welcoming experience
Manage enquiries, admissions and enrolments from initial contact through to placement
Coordinate nursery tours, visits and admissions meetings
Maintain accurate admissions records, waiting lists and nursery systems
Provide high-quality front-of-house and general office support
Manage calls, emails, correspondence, deliveries and daily administrative tasks
Support the creation and distribution of parent communications and updates
Maintain accurate child, family and staff records, ensuring confidentiality at all times
Support HR administration, including staff records and safeguarding compliance
Assist with Single Central Record (SCR) maintenance and safer recruitment processes
Help coordinate marketing activity, including social media, website updates and promotional content
Support open events and initiatives to promote the nursery within the local community

What we are looking for

We are looking for someone who is:

Highly organised with excellent attention to detail
Confident, friendly and professional when dealing with families and visitors
Experienced in administration, admissions, office coordination or a similar role
Able to manage multiple priorities in a busy environment
Skilled in Microsoft Office or Google Workspace
A strong communicator, both written and verbal
Calm, proactive and solution-focused under pressure
Trustworthy, discreet and confident handling confidential information

Experience within an education or childcare setting, or with nursery/school systems and marketing/social media, would be an advantage but is not essential.
