About the Role

Erkals Jewellers is looking for a highly organised and detail-focused Jewellery Fulfilment & Dispatch Assistant to manage the preparation, packing and dispatch of customer orders.

This role is centred around ensuring every order leaves us looking exceptional. Our customers are purchasing high-value jewellery, so presentation, accuracy and attention to detail are extremely important.

You will be responsible for checking each order carefully, making sure the correct jewellery, product information, packaging and paperwork are included before securely preparing parcels for delivery through Royal Mail and DHL.

Key Responsibilities

Carefully pick and prepare jewellery orders for dispatch.
Check every item against the customer's order before packing.
Ensure product details, sizes, colours, metals, quantities and other order information are correct.
Check jewellery for any visible marks, damage or presentation issues before dispatch.
Ensure certificates, authenticity paperwork, receipts and other relevant documentation are included where required.
Prepare jewellery boxes and luxury presentation packaging to a consistently high standard.
Ensure every customer receives an impressive and premium unboxing experience.
Securely package high-value jewellery for transportation.
Prepare outer packaging discreetly and professionally.
Print and prepare Royal Mail and DHL shipping labels.
Book and process shipments through Royal Mail and DHL systems.
Check customer names, delivery addresses, telephone numbers and shipping details before dispatch.
Ensure the correct shipping service is selected for each order.
Attach the correct tracking information to customer orders.
Update orders as fulfilled/dispatched once shipments have been prepared.
Organise outgoing parcels ready for courier collection or drop-off.
Maintain an accurate record of dispatched orders and tracking numbers.
Keep the packing and dispatch area clean, organised and stocked with packaging materials.
Monitor supplies including jewellery boxes, bags, shipping boxes, tape, labels and protective packaging.
Assist with general order fulfilment and stock organisation when required.

The most important quality for this position is attention to detail.

You will regularly be handling valuable jewellery and customer orders, so you must be someone who naturally double-checks their work and takes pride in getting everything exactly right.

The ideal candidate will be:

Extremely organised and reliable.
Very strong attention to detail.
Careful and respectful when handling jewellery.
Comfortable handling high-value products.
Able to follow a consistent packing and checking process.
Confident using computers and online order systems.
Comfortable using Royal Mail and DHL shipping platforms.
Able to read and accurately follow detailed product and order information.
Able to work independently without constant supervision.
Focused on presentation and creating an excellent customer experience.
Trustworthy and responsible.

Our Packing Standard

Packing at Erkals Jewellers is not simply placing a product into a box.

Every order should be treated as a luxury purchase.

Before an order leaves us, the successful candidate will be expected to check:

Correct jewellery item.
Correct product variation.
Correct size.
Correct metal or colour.
Correct quantity.
Product condition.
Correct jewellery box and presentation.
Correct paperwork and certificates.
Correct customer information.
Correct shipping address.
Correct courier service.
Correct shipping label.
Secure internal and external packaging.

We want every parcel to arrive securely packed, beautifully presented and exactly as ordered.

Experience

Previous experience in jewellery, luxury retail, e-commerce fulfilment, warehouse dispatch or order packing would be beneficial but is not essential.

More importantly, we are looking for someone who is careful, dependable, organised and obsessive about getting the details right.

Pay: £14.50 per hour

Expected hours: 20.0 per week
