Overview
We are seeking a dedicated Kitchen Porter to join our busy culinary team. The successful candidate will play a vital role in maintaining the cleanliness and organisation of our kitchen, ensuring a smooth operation and high standards of hygiene. This position offers an excellent opportunity for individuals interested in gaining experience within the hospitality industry, with potential pathways to develop culinary skills and knowledge.

Duties

Washing and sanitising dishes, utensils, pots, pans, and kitchen equipment efficiently
Assisting with basic food preparation tasks as directed by chefs or kitchen staff
Ensuring the cleanliness of work surfaces, floors, and storage areas to meet health and safety standards
Supporting the organisation of kitchen supplies and stock control
Assisting with waste disposal and recycling procedures
Maintaining a tidy and organised work environment at all times
Supporting the team during busy service periods to ensure smooth operations

Requirements

Previous experience in food preparation, cooking, or hospitality is advantageous but not essential; training will be provided
Knowledge of kitchen hygiene standards and safety procedures is desirable
Ability to work efficiently both independently and as part of a team
Good organisational skills and attention to detail
Flexibility to work shifts as required, including weekends if necessary
A positive attitude and willingness to learn new skills within a fast-paced environment
