37.5 hours per week

This is an excellent career development opportunity for a self-motivated and enthusiastic individual who wishes to pursue an administrative career in the NHS. The successful candidate will be expected to work in the organisation providing services in a professional, efficient, friendly and polite manner.

The role will involve providing support to clinical colleagues with administrative tasks.

You must be able to build effective working relationships, be approachable and accessible with a flexible approach to work.

Answering telephone calls/queries
Uploading and scanning documents.
Taking meeting minutes.
Collating data and maintaining spreadsheet
Opening referrals on the EPR and uploading referral information.
Checking and updating patient demographics on the EPR
Collating and printing assessment packs
Ordering
Logging faulty equipment
Room bookings

To operate as a centralised department providing a comprehensive administration service and functions within the Trusts’ Localities.
The service will ensure the timely and accurate recording of all activity across services using Trust information systems.
The service will require a team approach to ensure cover for absence across all services / locations.
Post holders, as appropriate, will be required to provide administration duties on behalf of these services.
Due to the nature of the role a strong emphasis is placed on safeguarding confidentiality and this forms a pre-requisite for every Administration Assistant.
Be responsible for ensuring all correspondence is accurately and appropriately presented using Trust and department procedures.
To be skilled and experienced in the full range of administration practices, software programmes and specialised functional terms.
Use own initiative to organise, prioritise and coordinate workload ensuring that deadlines are met.
Administrative duties as requested by the Area Administration Lead including transcribing of minutes, or notes of meetings, via various processes if required.
Recording and storage of accurate data for required areas of the administration service.
Provide and assist in the provision of audit data when required
