Job Summary

The Hilcroft Hotel is looking for an experienced Head Chef to join their team offering a competitive salary based on experience, who has a passion for working with fresh ingredients and amazing hospitality.

The hotel has 32 bedrooms, 90 cover restaurant & bar and 3 events rooms with covers ranging from 2 to 200. Our event space is busy with Weddings, private dining and conferences offering a range of menus catering for lunch, dinner, events, afternoon teas.

The role is full time working 5 days from 7 with gratuity share and the option to join the company Pension Scheme.

Main Duties

· Manage all aspects of the kitchen operations

· Supervise and train kitchen staff, including assigning tasks and monitoring performance

· Ensure compliance with Health & Safety regulations within the kitchen to include completion of all staff online learning

· Prepare and cook high-quality dishes according to recipes and standards

· Manage the weekly flash food figures to achieve the Food GP % and complete stock count with the stocktaker

· Maintain inventory of food supplies and equipment, and place orders as needed

· Plan weekly rotas to meet the needs of the business and in line with payroll %

· Collaborate with the GM to the continuous development of new menu items

Experience:

· Proven experience as a Head Chef or similar role in a restaurant / hotel setting

· In-depth knowledge of culinary techniques and practices

· Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and guide a team

· Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

· Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment

· Attention to detail and a passion for creating delicious dishes

· Knowledge of food safety and sanitation regulations

Pay: £39,000.00 per year
