Job Overview:

Window Warehouse Ltd is a leading Portsmouth-based manufacturer and supplier of high-quality uPVC and aluminium windows and doors, serving both trade and domestic customers across the South Coast. Established in 1986, the company has built a strong reputation for quality workmanship, reliability, and excellent customer service. Window Warehouse continues to grow through innovation, investment, and a commitment to delivering premium products to the construction and home improvement sectors. Could you be part of our growing business?

We are looking for a reliable and customer-focused Stores Person to join our UPVC department. As Stores Person in the glass collections area, you will be required to work on your own initiative as well as working within a team.

This is a hands on role where you will be the first point of contact for customers collecting their orders. You'll ensure orders are prepared accurately, loaded safely and that every customer receives excellent customer service.

Key Responsibilities

Receive, check and book in deliveries
Pick and issue stock for production
Maintain accurate stock levels and inventory records
Maintaining high standards of organisation, cleanliness, and health & safety throughout the stores and warehouse areas
Assist with twice yearly stock takes and inventory checks
Work closely with production, purchasing and logistics teams
Report damaged or missing stock and help resolve stock discrepancies
Operate forklifts and other warehouse equipment
Reporting missing or damaged stock to the Stock Manager
Liaising with the Stock inventory manager
Working closely with the Fabrication Supervisor and Production Coordinators to ensure weekly production requirements are met

What are we looking for?

A valid Forklift Truck Licence
Previous experience working within a warehouse, stores or manufacturing environment (desirable)
Experience dealing directly with customers.
Good attention to detail with the ability to accurately check orders
Comfortable handling heavy products and working in a physically demanding role
Good communication skills and a positive, team-focused attitude
Reliable, punctual and able to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
