About the Role:

This role will lead the delivery of high-quality, customer-focused housing management. You will be overseeing a number of different properties with a number of different registrations associated with them.

This is a UK wide role.

What you will bring to the role:

The ability to work collaboratively with external partners and statutory agencies.
Strong communication, problem-solving, and conflict resolution skills.
Experience supporting residents with welfare benefits and financial matters.
Ability to manage a varied caseload and deliver person-centred housing services.

Day to day tasks will include:

Providing housing-related support to residents to help them sustain their tenancies.
Working closely with external agencies, local authorities, and legal representatives.
Supporting residents with welfare benefits, financial management and tenancy responsibilities.
Driving service improvements and ensuring KPIs and service standards are achieved.
Contributing to policy, procedure, and service development across housing management.
Supporting the wider property and maintenance teams to resolve housing and repair issues.
Completing property spot checks and audits for the portfolio
Monitor compliance and safety – e.g. gas/electrical certificates, fire risk assessments, building safety checks
Handle all CIC communication’s – emails, calls, letters, meetings
Support with any benefit and service charge arrears and legal processes – chasing unpaid rent or service charges, liaising with credit control or legal teams
Maintain accurate records and systems – using appropriate software and reporting tools

Responsibilities of the role:

Set rents, manage rent collection and develop policies to reduce arrears
Advise tenants on tenancy rights, benefits and housing options (this may involve the use of easy read materials)
Inspect properties and arrange for repairs or improvements
Process housing applications
Handle tenancy breaches, such as antisocial behaviour, and prepare cases for court if needed
Investigate and respond to tenant complaints
Work closely with key partners such as care provider, social worker, OT etc
Attend meetings with residents and community representatives
Maintain accurate records and produce reports.

You may also:

Recruit, train and supervise staff
Manage budgets and plan housing improvement programmes
Implement new housing policies and legislation

Desired experience required:

Health and social care leadership management qualification
Experience working with vulnerable adults with varying disabilities such as learning, physical disabilities and mental health diagnosies
Strong knowledge of care and housing legislation and best practice models within the social housing sector
Experience managing complex issues, such as tenancy concerns, sharing safeguarding concerns and being available to support residents concerns.

Pay: £42,000.00 per year
