Job Overview
We are seeking a friendly and efficient Barista to join our vibrant team. The ideal candidate will be passionate about delivering excellent customer service and creating a welcoming atmosphere for all patrons. This role involves preparing and serving a variety of beverages, maintaining high standards of food safety, and ensuring the café operates smoothly during shifts. Previous experience is advantageous but not essential, as training will be provided to help you succeed in this dynamic environment.

Duties

Prepare and serve a range of hot and cold beverages, including coffee, tea, and specialised drinks, in accordance with company standards.
Handle food preparation tasks such as assembling snacks or light meals when required.
Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the work area, including cleaning equipment and surfaces regularly.
Ensure compliance with food safety regulations at all times.
Serve customers efficiently while providing friendly and attentive service.
Manage cash register operations, including handling payments accurately using basic maths skills.
Assist in restocking supplies and inventory management to ensure smooth daily operations.
Manage time effectively during busy periods to serve customers promptly without compromising quality.

Qualifications

Previous experience as a Barista or in a similar food service role is preferred but not mandatory; training will be provided.
Knowledge of food safety standards and procedures is desirable.
Experience in serving customers with professionalism and courtesy.
Basic maths skills for handling transactions accurately.
Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage time effectively during busy periods.
Good communication skills to interact positively with customers and team members.
Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail. This role offers an excellent opportunity for individuals passionate about coffee culture and customer service to develop their skills within a supportive team environment.
