Full job description

Job Overview
We are seeking a talented and experienced Brunch Chef to join our vibrant team in Huddersfield. The ideal candidate will have a passion for creating delicious brunch dishes, possess strong leadership skills, and be committed to delivering exceptional culinary experiences. This role offers an exciting opportunity to oversee food preparation, manage kitchen operations, and contribute to the welcoming atmosphere of our establishment.

Operations from 9am-5pm, positions available for 3 days and 4 days a week.

Duties

Prepare and cook a variety of brunch dishes in accordance with menu specifications and quality standards
Supervise kitchen staff, providing guidance and support to ensure efficient food production
Manage food safety standards and maintain cleanliness and organisation within the kitchen environment
Oversee food presentation, ensuring dishes are visually appealing and served promptly
Assist in menu planning and development of new brunch offerings
Coordinate with front-of-house staff to ensure smooth service delivery
Monitor stock levels and place orders for ingredients as needed
Uphold high standards of hospitality, ensuring all guests receive excellent service during their visit

Requirements

Proven experience in food production, cooking, and kitchen management within a hospitality or restaurant setting
Supervising experience with the ability to lead and motivate a team effectively
Strong knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices in food handling
Excellent culinary skills with a flair for creating innovative brunch dishes
Previous restaurant experience is essential, ideally with a focus on breakfast or brunch menus
Good organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently
Friendly demeanour with excellent communication skills and a customer-focused attitude
Experience in serving guests and maintaining high standards of hospitality is desirable

Pay: £10.85-£12.71 per hour
