Room Leader, Creative Explorers Nursery
Location: North London
Job Type: Full-time, Permanent
Salary: Up to £15.00 per hour, depending on qualifications and experience

Creative Explorers is a thriving and expanding nursery group, and we are looking for a dedicated and experienced Room Leader to join our North London team. We offer flexible working patterns, with the option to work four or five days per week, helping you maintain a healthy work life balance.

The Role

As Room Leader, you will play a key role in maintaining high standards of care and education while guiding your team to deliver exceptional practice.

Key responsibilities include:

Leading and motivating your team to deliver outstanding early years education
Implementing the EYFS curriculum through engaging and developmentally appropriate experiences
Creating a safe, inclusive, and nurturing environment for all children
Overseeing planning, observations, and assessments to ensure consistency and quality
Mentoring colleagues and promoting best practice
Maintaining safeguarding, health and safety, and regulatory compliance

What We Are Looking For

Essential:

Level 3 qualification (or higher) in Childcare and Education
At least one year of post-qualification experience with children aged 0 to 5
Previous experience leading or supporting a team
Strong knowledge of the EYFS framework
Excellent communication and organisational skills
A valid DBS check and current Paediatric First Aid certificate

Desirable:

Higher qualification in Early Years or Childhood Studies
Experience in child-led or creative learning environments
A passion for innovative approaches that encourage independence and resilience
