Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Tailor/ Seamstress to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a passion for garment alteration and dry cleaning knowledge, ensuring that each piece meets our high standards of quality and craftsmanship. This role requires a keen eye for detail, strong sewing skills, compatent with industrial sewing machine and the ability to work with various fabrics and styles.

Duties

Perform alterations on garments, including adjusting hems, taking in or letting out seams, and modifying fit as required by clients.
Repair damaged clothing items, including patching holes, replacing zippers, and fixing seams.
Maintain an organised workspace, keeping tools and materials tidy and accessible.
Provide excellent customer service by communicating effectively with clients regarding their needs and preferences.
Opening and closing store on most occasions.
Collaborate with team members to ensure timely completion of projects while maintaining high-quality standards.

Qualifications

Proven experience as a Tailor or in a similar role is preferred.
Proficiency in using sewing machines and hand-sewing techniques.
Strong understanding of different fabrics and dry cleaning techniques.
Excellent attention to detail with a commitment to producing high-quality work.
Good communication skills to interact effectively with clients and team members.
A creative mindset with problem-solving abilities when faced with garment challenges whether sewing or cleaning.
