Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Kitchen Cook to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for preparing and cooking a variety of dishes, ensuring high standards of food quality and safety. This role offers an excellent opportunity for individuals with a passion for food preparation and culinary arts to develop their skills in a professional environment.

Responsibilities

Prepare and cook meals according to specified recipes and standards
Assist in food preparation, including chopping, marinating, and portioning ingredients
Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen area in compliance with food safety regulations
Monitor cooking times and temperatures to ensure optimal results
Ensure all dishes are presented attractively and served promptly
Follow health and safety guidelines at all times, including proper handling of food and equipment
Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth kitchen operations during service periods
Restock ingredients and supplies as needed to maintain efficient workflow

Qualifications

Proven experience in food preparation, cooking, or a similar role within a kitchen environment
Knowledge of food safety standards and hygiene practices
Previous restaurant or catering experience is desirable but not essential
Ability to work efficiently under pressure during busy service times
Strong organisational skills with attention to detail
Good communication skills and ability to work well within a team
Passion for culinary arts and a willingness to learn new techniques
