Full job description

Caffeine Addict is excited to announce we are opening our second coffee house in the heart of Leeds City Centre on Swinegate. We are looking for enthusiastic, customer driven Baristas to join our team.

About the Role

As a Coffee House Barista, you’ll be responsible for delivering outstanding service while preparing high quality coffee, drinks and some food items. You’ll help create a welcoming atmosphere for our customers and play an important role in the successful launch of our newest location.

Key Responsibilities

Responsible for taking orders, preparing and serving coffee and other beverages to customers
Clean and sanitise work area, utensils and equipment
Maintain tidy and clean seating and customer area
Open and closure of Coffee House as required
Ordering, receiving and distributing stock supplies
Report any challenges or equipment faults timely to management
Competent in using POS system
Receiving and processing customer payments
Describing menu items, suggesting products to customers and upselling
Accommodate to customer needs and dietary requirements.
Maintain the high standards set out by the management team
To adhere to all company and statutory health & safety requirements.
To attend any relevant meetings or training courses as requested.

What We’re Looking For

Previous Barista experience is preferred but not essential
A genuine passion for coffee and customer service
Positive attitude and strong work ethic
Ability to work efficiently in a busy environment
Excellent communication and teamwork skills
Reliable, punctual and professional

The working hours for this position will be an average of 36 hours per week on a rota basis between:

Monday – Friday, 6:30am – 8:30pm
Saturday – Sunday, 7:30am – 6:30pm

Training will commence on 22nd June 2026 and will be delivered over a 3 week period at our Caffeine Addict Headingley location.
