Job Overview
We are seeking a friendly and efficient Barista to join our vibrant team. The ideal candidate will be passionate about delivering excellent customer service and creating a welcoming atmosphere for all patrons. This role involves preparing a variety of beverages, maintaining high standards of food safety, and ensuring the smooth operation of the café during busy periods. Previous experience in a similar role is preferred but not essential, as training will be provided. This position offers an opportunity to develop your skills within a dynamic environment committed to quality and customer satisfaction.

Responsibilities

Prepare and serve a wide range of hot and cold beverages, including coffee, tea, and specialised drinks
Ensure all food safety standards are adhered to at all times
Assist customers with menu selections and provide exceptional service
Handle cash transactions accurately using the till system
Maintain cleanliness and organisation of workstations, including cleaning equipment and utensils
Restock supplies as needed to ensure smooth service during shifts
Manage time effectively during peak hours to serve customers promptly
Support food preparation tasks when required, such as assembling snacks or light meals
Uphold health and safety regulations at all times to create a safe environment for staff and customers

Qualifications

Previous barista experience is desirable for suitable candidates
Knowledge of food safety standards and procedures
Experience in serving customers with professionalism and courtesy
Basic maths skills for handling transactions and managing stock levels
Strong time management skills to prioritise tasks efficiently during busy periods
Friendly, approachable manner with excellent communication skills
Ability to work effectively as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
