Full job description

Overview
We are seeking a friendly and motivated Sandwich Artist to join our team. At The Deli by Baretto. The ideal candidate will be responsible for preparing delicious sandwiches and providing excellent customer service in a fast-paced environment. This role offers an opportunity to develop skills in food preparation and customer engagement while working within a supportive team. Prior experience is not required, as full training will be provided.

Duties

Prepare a variety of sandwiches, salads, and other menu items according to company standards
Serve customers efficiently and courteously at the counter or drive-thru
Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the work area, including food prep stations and dining spaces
Handle cash transactions accurately and operate the point-of-sale system
Restock ingredients and supplies as needed to ensure smooth operation during shifts
Follow health and safety guidelines to ensure food hygiene standards are met
Assist in opening or closing procedures as required

Skills

Excellent communication skills with a friendly demeanour
Ability to work efficiently under pressure in a busy environment
Organised with strong attention to detail
Willingness to learn new skills and adapt to changing priorities
Basic numeracy skills for handling transactions
Previous experience in food service is advantageous but not essential, as training will be provided

This role is perfect for individuals who enjoy working with people, take pride in delivering quality service, and are eager to be part of a dynamic team.

Pay: £13.50-£14.00 per hour
