About the Role

We are looking for an organised, proactive, and professional Private Medical Administrator to join our busy and friendly team. This is a hybrid role offering a combination of office and home working, providing an excellent opportunity for someone with strong administrative and customer service skills who enjoys working in a fast-paced healthcare environment.As the first point of contact for patients, consultants, and healthcare professionals, you will play a key role in ensuring the smooth day-to-day running of our private medical service.

Key Responsibilities

Manage incoming telephone calls, providing a professional and empathetic service to patients families
Respond promptly and efficiently to emails and online enquiries.
Coordinate and support daily clinical activity, ensuring clinics run smoothly.
Schedule, amend and confirm patient appointments.
Maintain accurate patient records and update clinical systems.
Liaise with consultants, clinical staff, insurers and external organisations.
Process referrals, correspondence and clinical documentation.
Ensure all administrative tasks are completed accurately and within agreed timescales.
Support the wider administration team with general office duties as required.
Maintain patient confidentiality and comply with GDPR and information governance requirements.

About You

The successful candidate will have:

Previous experience in a medical, healthcare or private practice administration role (desirable).
Experience of medical practice management system such as Carebit, DGL
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
Strong organisational skills with the ability to prioritise a varied workload.
A professional, patient-focused approach.
High attention to detail and accuracy.
Confidence using Microsoft Office and patient management systems.
The ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
A positive, flexible and proactive attitude.
