Job Overview

We are seeking a friendly and enthusiastic Barista to join our vibrant team. The ideal candidate will be passionate about delivering exceptional customer service and creating a welcoming atmosphere for all customers. This role involves preparing and serving high-quality beverages, maintaining cleanliness standards, and engaging with customers to ensure a memorable experience. Previous experience in a similar role is advantageous but not essential, as training will be provided. The position offers an excellent opportunity to develop barista skills, within a dynamic environment committed to quality and community engagement.

Responsibilities

Prepare and serve a variety of hot and cold beverages, including coffee, tea, and speciality drinks, ensuring consistency and quality.
Greet customers warmly, taking their orders accurately and efficiently.
Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the coffee station, including cleaning equipment and work surfaces regularly.
Handle cash transactions accurately and operate the point-of-sale system with professionalism.
Restock supplies as needed, including coffee beans, cups, lids, and condiments.
Engage with customers in a friendly manner to foster a welcoming environment.
Follow health and safety guidelines diligently to ensure compliance with hygiene standards.
Assist in opening or closing duties as required, including cleaning procedures and stock checks.

Experience

Previous experience in a customer service or hospitality role is desirable but not mandatory; full training will be provided for those new to the industry.
Strong communication skills with the ability to interact positively with diverse customers.
Ability to work efficiently under pressure in a fast-paced setting while maintaining attention to detail.
A genuine passion for coffee and customer service is highly valued.
Flexibility to work various shifts, including mornings, afternoons, or evenings as needed.
