Registered Care Home Manager

Residential & Dementia | 50‑Bed Home | Ashton-Under-Lyne, Greater Manchester

Salary: £45,000 – £47,500 DOE + bonus & benefits
Job Type: Full‑time, Permanent

The post is based in a CQC Good‑rated, purpose‑built 50‑bed residential & dementia care home in the Ashton-under-Lyne, Greater Manchester.

Experienced Deputy Managers ready to step up into registration are strongly encouraged to apply. Full mentoring and structured support will be provided throughout your journey to registration and beyond.

The Role

As Registered Care Home Manager, you will:

· Act as the CQC Registered Manager, ensuring compliance with Fundamental Standards

· Lead and develop a stable, person‑centred staff team, treating staff with the same dignity and respect as residents

· Ensure strong systems for supervision, mentoring, training, and staff support

· Promote a positive workplace culture where staff feel valued and empowered

· Monitor performance across quality, budgets, and occupancy

· Build trusted relationships with residents, families, staff, and professional

About You

You will be either:

· An experienced Registered Care Home Manager (Residential/Dementia), or

· A strong Deputy Manager ready to step up, seeking long‑term development

You will also have:

· A values‑led approach to leadership, with respect and equality at the core

· Good knowledge of CQC regulations and Health & Social Care legislation

· Experience recruiting, retaining, and developing staff

· Strong leadership and communication skills

· Willingness to participate in an out‑of‑hours on‑call rota

· A calm, organised, and person‑centred leadership style

Requirements

· Level 5 Diploma in Leadership for Health & Social Care (or working towards)

· Experience delivering Good or Outstanding CQC outcomes

· Knowledge of dementia care and older people’s services

· Experience with electronic care planning systems
