Overview

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Bar Manager to oversee the daily operations of our busy hospitality venue. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, a passion for excellent service, and a comprehensive understanding of food and beverage management. This role offers an exciting opportunity to lead a vibrant team, ensure exceptional customer experiences, and maintain high standards of food safety and quality.

Duties

Supervise and coordinate the daily activities of bar staff, ensuring efficient service delivery.
Oversee food preparation and ensure adherence to culinary standards, including cooking and food production processes.
Manage stock levels, order supplies, and maintain inventory control.
Develop and implement innovative drink menus, including specialised cocktails and beverages.
Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and health & safety policies across all operations.
Lead team training programmes in hospitality, serving techniques, and responsible alcohol service.
Monitor customer feedback to enhance service quality and resolve any issues promptly.
Organise staff rotas, manage shift schedules, and supervise team performance.
Maintain a welcoming environment that promotes excellent hospitality standards.

Requirements

Proven supervising experience within a restaurant or bar environment.
Strong team management skills with the ability to motivate staff effectively.
Extensive restaurant experience with knowledge of food preparation, cooking, and kitchen operations.
Familiarity with food safety standards and best practices in food safety management.
Previous experience in hospitality roles such as serving or barista work is advantageous.
Leadership qualities with excellent organisational skills.
Knowledge of culinary techniques, food production processes, and hotel or restaurant operations.
Good communication skills and a personable manner suitable for guest interaction.
Relevant qualifications in hospitality management or culinary arts are desirable but not essential.
